New Party Chair elected
At the meeting of the NEC held in London on Saturday, 14th February, Councilllor Fran Oborski of Kidderminster was elected as Chair of the Liberal party in succession to John Hein of Edinburgh. Members thanked John for the many years service he had given as chairman and were pleased that he remained a member of the NEC.
Fran Oborski is a Liberal member of both Wyre Forest District Council and Worcestershire County Council.
The vacancy for a place on the NEC was filled by the cooption of Councillor Chris Ash of Peterborough. Chris Ash is a Liberal Party member of the Peterborough Unitary Council.
