Cllr Steve Radford was invited onto City Talk to review the newspapers (Monday  6th April) with host Dean Sullivan
 

During the programme he made a number of topical points including:

• the rapid erosion of the Royal Mail and Post Office network was being driven by EU competition rules;
• that anti-terrorism laws were being abused by government to silence legitimate political and peaceful protests;
• that ID cards would do little to tackle crime in working class communities and the money would be far better spent on employing more community police.

He also argued that the gradual introduction of ID cards would lead to a compulsory scheme sooner or later
 
Steve also made it clear The Liberal Party had no association with the Lib Dems who were destroying playing fields, building on parks and demolishing terraced communities, policies The Liberal Party has consistently opposed.
